Peikko Group’s Danish subsidiary Peikko Danmark ApS has received two substantial orders for DELTABEAM® Composite Beams. The orders are for a new large hospital complex named DNV – Det Nye Hospital I Vest, which is under construction in Gødstrup close to Herning in western Denmark.
The first order consists of 3.2 kilometers of DELTABEAM® for the northern part of the hospital formed by 8 buildings with max. 10 stories. The second order of 3.1 kilometers of DELTABEAM will be delivered to the southern part of the hospital formed by 5 buildings with max. 7 stories. The deliveries to the northern part are ongoing and will continue until March 2016. The deliveries to the southern part are scheduled between April and October 2016. In addition, Peikko delivers concrete connection products to the project.
The total area of the hospital complex comprises 135 000 m2. The construction work was started in 2012 and the entire complex is expected to be ready for use by 2019–2020. The structural design is made by Sweco Danmark A/S and the architect design by CuraVita Consortium. Joint venture Max Bögl & JFP I/S is responsible for the construction.
